There has been a lot of hype about 3D printers in media over the past while. Of course the Squirrel Project has a couple of 3D printers so was invited to the Ottawa 3D Print-A-Thon. The event was very successful. I presented the idea of using 3D printers to perfect the propellers. Of course many fans of the Squirrel Project showed up and a couple of keen kids made a couple planes. I cooked up a Dayton myself.

Sparrow Packaging
I packaged some Sparrows in Squirrel packaging 3″ packaging. They came out really nice but it’s really hard put together. The shapes of the pieces are different and this makes it very tricky to get them into the packaging using the Squirrel technique . I mean hard. Like rocket science.
So I tried it with 4″ packaging. Works like a charm! It goes together very easily and looks even better. I’m very pleased.
New Look
I just changed the site to the Twenty Twelve WordPress theme. I was using the Responsive theme which I like but the site was slow. So I’m checking if this will be any faster.
Do you like the old one or the new one?
Sparrows are Back!
Sparrows are back! Here is a picture of some of them just before packaging and some boxes of packaging materials. Also a few memories of summer!
New Peace Plane Template
Last night we made some Peace Planes at the Squirrel-O-Rama. I made up a new template for Peace Plane.
Was a huge hit. I also rolled it out today at a couple of my activities. Paper planes make every activity more fun!!!
