I gave a presentation last Wednesday at the Inventors Association.
I covered a bit about the Squirrel, how it evolved and the fun of making in general.
The inventors community at large (and specifically the Inventors Association of Ottawa) are very much into secrecy and “protection” of ideas. It’s clear to me that this will make it nearly impossible to succeed.
So I emphasized the notion of sharing instead. I gave a few examples of how sharing helped with the Squirrel project. Also how it is working for newer projects such as Dayton and my Drawing Robots projects.
