Walkalong Glider Meetup in Ottawa a Huge Success
I decided to add a twist and do Walkalong Gliders in my regular pub meetups (instead of the Squirrels) to see what would happen. It was an amazing success!
Ottawa Citizen’s Bruce Deachman covered the project and the design was printed as a cutout on Jan 8th (Web version: Winged wonders: Paper plane meetup lands in Ottawa). The event was also covered by Alan Neal of CBC Radio and Ed Hand of 1310 News.
Walkalong Glider Meetups
I’ve been experimenting with Walkalong gliders and think it would be fun to do some meetups to work on these. So please come and bring some friends! Details below!
As it turns out we will have Phil Rossoni at the events on the 8th and 9th. He is an authority on this type of aviation. Here’s a video of an interview by Slater Harrison (also an advocate).
